A new Brunch cafe in Corktown, Folk Detroit.
Folk Detroit is a cute little gem of a brunch place. The staff were ultra accommodating when I needed to order something that would be prepared quickly so I could get out within 20 minutes. I had more than enough time to enjoy my meal.
The infused milks really caught my eye. So I decided on the rose milk. When it came out it immediately brighten my day. It is made with beet root powder, chili powder, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla bean, and rose simple syrup. I subbed cashew milk instead of dairy. I wish this drink would have lasted forever and I will be coming back for many more.
To eat I ordered the avocado toast which was served on a delightfully soft and decadent honey wheat toast. The beautiful golden hummus added another wonderful color to my meal and added a fried egg because I like to be extra and it proves to be a good choice time and time again.
I would like to add that subbing cashew milk instead of dairy in the rose milk was an extra $2 FYI.
