Recap: Bistec Bar & Grill

Looking to switch up your dining experience?

outside of restaurant

It is bright and chic as soon as soon as you walk into the building.

Food:

Start with the empanadas. They came recommended and I heard they were good from my friend, unfortunately, there are only chorizos empanadas. If you don’t eat chorizo I say go with the guacamole, that’s what I had and loved it.

This place is unique because they offer a spin on Mexican cuisine by making it interactive. There is a grill built into the table and you, as the customer, are able to cook your own food. We ordered shrimp and salmon so it was done very quickly and already marinated to perfection. I felt like a 5 star chef when I tasted my food.

If you don’t feel like using the grill, make your friends do it for you!

They also have dishes that come out already made. These dishes are: tacos, burgers, salads, and sandwiches.

dessert at Bistec Grill

For dessert the Flan is a big hit.

Drinks:

And as for cocktails go for the Ginger Margarita and/ or the St. Momo (poema sparkling wine, st. Germaine, lime) if you like sweet.

Where:

Bistec is right across from Whole Foods in Lincoln Park on Kingsbury Street,  in case you get lost. And if you need parking they have discounted parking in one of the lots near the restaurant. Call before to get specifics about parking.

Dress

You can play this one by mood. I have been here twice and the first time I dressed casual wearing pants and a cute tank. The most recent time I went I wore a floral skirt and off the shoulder top.

Both times I noticed people in larger parties celebrating a special occasion. This is a great place to do so. You can get the best pictures any time of day due to the bright lighting and white backgrounds. And cooking on the grill is a fun way to bring everyone together!
