A weekend Getaway near Austin, Texas.
If you are in the area near Austin this is just a 30 minute drive for you. If not it's still a great place to visit. One of my favorite parts, not that it matters to me, is the airport on the property. I don't have a plane, yet but I am sure it is enticing to many of the people that fly private to land directly on the resort.
The yacht club boosts beautiful pools and a pool bar. If the pool is not your favorite choice of water, then there is also a beach in the same area.
I enjoyed sipping drinks by the pool wearing my big floppy hat.The music was fun and the people were even better. So much warm energy around me and I am not just talking about the weather. It was so fun to watch everyone dancing around and throwing a ball around in the pool.
There are bodies of water all around the resort. Being a lover of water makes this a big draw to this resort. It’s so nice to see turtles and ducks while taking a stroll around the property.
What to wear?
Flowy dresses, big hats (sun protection), bathing suits, golf clothes, and dinner attire.
There is a golf cart to transport you to various places around the resort. We used it to go in between the yacht club and hotel. For shoes if you plan on walking I would go for a block heel because the property is big and walking around the bridges will be difficult in a thinner heel, if you choose to wear heels at all.
What to eat?
We enjoyed all our meals on the resort. Breakfast was had in the restaurant of the hotel. Lunch we enjoyed at the yacht club poolside. And for dinner we decided to head back to the yacht club. It’s a good idea to make reservations! The food was standard American and my favorite part for breakfast were the blueberry pancakes and breakfast tacos! For dinner my favorite was their Seasonal Vegetable Strudel. They also served me a few amazing cocktails.
