A creamy drink for steady lasting energy.
A drink for every morning! I have this at least 4 times a week. This Matcha drink is filling for a quick morning drink and it gives you energy to get that morning workout done. Using Matcha in your morning drink gives you energy that can last for up to 6 hours! Matcha is also packed with antioxidants including the cancer fighting catechin, ECGs.
This way of drinking coffee and tea has been around forever in India for good reason. I first saw this recipe on Ayesha Curry’s youtube channel for Bulletproof coffee which, of course, she uses coffee instead of tea and butter instead of ghee. I tried both ways but I don’t drink coffee as much as tea and after doing some research on where the name came from and the origin of the ingredients I decided these are the ingredients I would use. I add Maca Root to my drink but you can leave it out or add liquid vitamins, for instance this vegan D3 spray is packed with Vitamin D3 and Omega and is easy to add in, flavor wise, for extra health benefits.
This ghee taste so amazing once you try it you won’t want regular butter again. Even Sophie likes it…. although she likes almost everything.
For a sweetener Stevia works well and I have also used honey. I stick to these two because Stevia is naturally occurring with no calories and raw local honey because it helps with allergies and it taste good. Add Matcha, Stevia, Maca powder, and ghee into blender and blend for 1 minute to create a smooth and creamy drink.
So this creamy matcha tea will give you energy for hours and keep you full thanks to the fat in ghee which is necessary for brain health. I love adding this caramel syrup. Adding caramel in your creamy matcha or coffee gives me the satisfaction of a Starbucks frappe but this has health benefits and is way less expensive.
