Sugar Rehab Diary: Day 5

by Brandie

Wow can’t believe it’s been 5 days! No wonder the sugar cravings are so strong.

Today waking up was fine I got right up ran a few errands and went to a couple grocery stores. I got a lot accomplished but when I got to work later on that evening I crashed! I felt exhausted! Which is crazy because I was just thinking about how much energy I had but then I kept feeling like passing out. I don’t know if it’s a result of me going through sugar rehab or maybe just not enough sleep. And the weather is cold maybe that’s making me tired and seriouslyyyy craving salted caramel hot chocolate. Today I almost caved and tried to convince myself that maybe eating sugar would not be so bad if I didn’t eat as much, but I made this promise to myself so I’m going to keep it. I’m excited to experience the results.

So on to…
What I ate today!

Breakfast: Plain steel cut oatmeal with cinnamon. More of the coffee drink with almond milk and cinnamon.

Lunch: sliced Tofurkey the Italian style. I used the whole pack making turkey roll ups with spinach and Daiya vegan mozzarella cheese topped with hot sauce. And watermelon!

Dinner: The rest of the quinoa vegetable soup which is so fragrant and amazing! I have to put the recipe on here. This soup opened up my nose and chest and definitely warmed me up from the cold weather.

Also ate mangos with lots of cayenne and some ginger.

Once again I ate sooo many pistachios throughout the day. At least 4 servings.

During the times I felt my energy dipping the most I had some kombucha.. which basically saved my life.

-almost gave in.
