If you ever find yourself in the suburbs of Chicago and are in need of a good food place. I have got you covered….(if you are in Geneva, IL.)
Make your way here as it is too cute not to visit. You won’t be disappointed if you are a fan of cozy towns.
This is a great place to come when you are in need of a retreat away from the city; like I was during lollapalooza.
Geneva has plenty of greenery for when you feel a lack, due to being in the big city of Chicago for too long. This place is a perfect refresher when you are missing a small town midwest vibe.
So many cute cafes, restaurants, wine bars, and ice cream parlors. And you would be so happy if you like boutique shops because Geneva has plenty!
My two suggested restaurants here include an Italian and a Mexican restaurant.
Italian: Villa Verone
Mexican: El Molcajete
If you visit this cute city during the weekend there is bound to be a festival/ fair/ market going on in the downtown area. Even if you don’t stumble upon one of these, make your way to the many antique stores or spend time people watching from El Molcajete’s rooftop or any of the cafe’s or bars around Geneva.
You will surely enjoy your time here and it’s easy to travel to from Chicago by Metra. This makes it a breeze for a weekend escape from the amazing bustling Chicago life.
